The £23/hr is all-in – no placement fee, no markup on top, no hidden charges. You pay one rate that covers the developer, our vetting, ongoing support, payroll, HR, compliance and AI training. A single rate, one monthly invoice – that’s it.
If things change on your end – budget, direction, headcount – you can wind down with a 2-month notice period. We’d rather you come back for the next hire than feel trapped.
We don’t do long lock-ins. There’s an initial calibration period of 1 month – where you get to make sure your Smart Working Engineers are fitting in well into your tech stack and culture. After this, a 6-month contract period kicks in. Clients usually love our solution and stay for years. We don’t force commitment – we earn it.
Our vetting process is ruthlessly designed for speed and quality assurance. 4 stages, rigorous filtering:

Yes, and we encourage it. The candidates we send you are prepped and experienced in the tech stacks you need. Most clients do one round of their own to select the people they like from the shortlist. You make the final call.
One calibration call at the start with our UK team so we understand exactly what and who you need. Then, you review the shortlist and interview your preferred candidates, that’s it. We handle everything before the first call, in between, and after you decide who you want. Our model is designed to take as little of your time as possible.
Smart Working. We handle all employment contracts, payroll, tax, pension, compliance, and continuous AI training. Smart Working Engineers work as fully integrated members of your team in every practical sense, but the legal employment relationship sits with us. This removes significant administrative overhead for you.
Your dedicated Success Manager and team proactively monitor and manage performance. This way, issues are resolved even before you notice them. We have monthly check-ins with you so we’re all aligned and happy. If at any time you need something sorted out, simply contact your Success Manager and we’ll work through it with you. If the issue can’t be resolved, we find a replacement – at no additional cost to you. We don’t consider the placement closed just because the developer started.
